Imagine this moment in your very own DIY backyard sports bar: It was June 12, 2023. The last quarter of the final NBA Championship game, with the Nuggets facing off against the Miami Heat. There were two minutes to go, with Miami in the lead by one point. 

Rick and his friends—Nuggets fans—were crowded around the firepit, eyes glued to the TV in Rick’s custom DIY Sports Bar Tuff Shed. 

The tension was palpable, the excitement electric. 

Wait… let’s back up 

Months before the Nuggets had their epic season, Rick and his wife wanted a space they where they could entertain guests and have extra storage.

Rick had seen the Tuff Shed sign on I-25 in Denver, and decided to walk in for a consultation. He sat down with a sales rep, and they custom-configured a shed that would work for Rick’s space right then and there. 

Together, they added double doors on the front of the building that could be opened to reveal a TV. They added another door on the side, for a practical storage area that was hidden from view of the bar. 

Just like Jokić, Rick is a man of action. He purchased that shed on the spot. 

Finishing the sports bar 

In hardly any time at all, a Tuff Shed team had installed Rick’s Premier Ranch 10x16’ shed in his backyard. 

He skinned the interior with pine siding from Home Depot—just $400 in lumber and Rick had a rustic, farmhouse feel that perfectly matched his home. (And looked great, too.) 

Next, Rick finished out the DIY Sports Bar. He got a tap kit online that came with a kegerator. All they had to do was put a fridge behind the wall of the bar, drill a hole, and run a tapline. Booyah. Sports bar magic. 

The Nuggets win 94-89 

In the final seconds of the game, the Nuggets hit a free throw to score the win. 

The crowd gathered around Rick’s sports bar erupted in a thrilling celebration of victory. 

From the crackling of the firepit to that feeling of absolute elation, the unforgettable Nuggets win of 2023 was a moment Rick told Tuff Shed that he will carry with him for a long, long time.
