Built Tuff Since 1981

Tuff Shed is a true American original. We’ve stayed focused on our ideals since 1981, when Tom Saurey founded the company with a dream and his blood, sweat, tears. We may have grown a lot since then, to cover every inch of this great country, but we’re still your local shed and garage builder.

Our Journey

Laying the Foundation

Like our buildings, Tuff Shed was built from the ground-up. Founder Tom Saurey saw the need for high-quality long-term storage solutions and started our company with not much more than his vision in Rexburg, Idaho.

A Company Filled With Shedders

TOM SAUREY

Meet our Founder, CEO and Original Shedder

Around Tuff Shed, the highest compliment we can give a Team Member is that they are a “Shedder”. A person who truly loves our company and, as we say, bleeds Tuff Shed Red. When a shedder is presented obstacles, they work to overcome them. The first Shedder is our founder and CEO, Tom Saurey. The man who built Tuff Shed out of only his blood, sweat, tears and a dream. Now, nearly fifty years later, his vision inspires everyone each day to do their best for each other and our customers. Are you ready to start your journey to become a Shedder? Find out where you fit into the Tuff Shed story below.

Partners

At Tuff Shed, we’ve held ourselves to the highest standards imaginable for more than forty years. We extend those standards to the groups we choose to team with including our suppliers, finance partners and community organizations. We do this with a focus on positive environmental and community impacts while making certain all of our partners offer the best quality for our customers and employees alike.

Community

We have a rich history of community involvement including being a proud Platinum Level Sponsor of The Home Depot Foundation, whose nationwide mission focuses on improving the lives of U.S. Veterans and helping communities impacted by natural disasters. We are also honored to work with thousands of local community-based organizations across America. Having products like ours, we get countless requests for building donations. While it is financially impossible for us to provide complete building donations, we can provide discounts on display buildings for community-based organizations. Contact the Tuff Shed factory-direct location nearest you to inquire about display building availability.
