When Jim Zavist and his wife moved into their 1950’s ranch house, storage came into question. Their new mid-century modern home fit their taste perfectly but it lacked one important thing; a basement. They quickly found that the lack of storage was a major issue. “We immediately knew we needed a shed to hold all of our stuff,” says Jim. Enter Tuff Shed.

The Zavist’s were already familiar with Tuff Shed products, as former Colorado residents. Additionally, Jim was an architect and appreciated all the customized options Tuff Shed provided. “I liked having all the upgrades to play with, so Tuff Shed was our first choice,” says Jim.

Before visiting their local Tuff Shed showroom they did a little online research to find the style that fit their needs. Both the Premier PRO Studio and the Premier Lean-To caught their eye. They chose on the Premier Pro Lean-To, since the building would be used solely for storage and there was no need for the Studio upgrades. When they decided on the model, it was time to meet with their local team to customize their new storage shed. By adding transom windows, wall vents, and a custom roof line to the building, the storage shed was transformed into in a Mid-Century masterpiece.

Overall, Jim is pleased with his new storage shed. “It’s a good quality building with solid construction, and we were able to match it to our house. It’s certainly better than a flimsy plastic or aluminum shed.”
