Build it yourself or go Tuff Shed, there are no other options! The shed quality is what sold us. The sales experience was awesome, just helpful, knowledgeable and not pushy at all. Started with Andy and ended up with a different person, Stephanie something who was new but just as sharp. Sheds are a bit more on average but the staff, installers and making sure everything little thing is perfect is TOTALLY worth it.

While my overall experience (especially during the build phase) was not pain free, the support and commitment from the Tuff Shed team & Andy Shill in particular earns a 4 Star rating. The project was an 18' x 16' Premier Barn with a full loft. The initial purchasing phase was low key and Andy was great to answer any questions and support reviewing all the options. During the Design & Planning phase the wheels came off a bit mostly due to the size of the shed and Layton City zoning & permitting process as the placement was designed around a 5' offset. It took over 7 months jump through the series of flaming hoops and signing waivers, etc. to finally get the permit so we could build. As painful as this process was, the Tuff Shed team worked hard to keep things moving. During the build phase, however, the wheels totally came off when the crew that was assigned failed to build the barn correctly. The biggest area of concern was the Sheet Metal roof which was installed incorrectly and there were other workmanship issues. After several repeated failures by the same contractor, Tuff Shed send out their warranty repair team to evaluate what was going on. They determined the roof needed to be pulled off a completely redone and that they would address the other workmanship issues. In fairness, at this point I was pretty much done with this project. That said, their team owned the issues and worked diligently to resolve all the issues to complete satisfaction. Given other projects that I have recently contracted out, this is what true customer service should look like. Projects like this may seem very simple and straight forward, but there is a lot that can, and often does, go wrong. A measure of a good company is owning these issues and seeing it through to the end and standing by the quality of their product. To this end, Tuff Shed knocked it out of the park and hence moved themselves from a solid 2 Star to a 4 Star rating in my book.

We looked at other shed companies and no one’s quality even came close to Tuff Shed!! Their design team in Ogden, Andrew Shill, was awesome to work with!! The builders did an amazing job!! We are so happy with the finished product!!

My experience with Tuff Shed was GREAT! Andy, my Salesperson was super helpful from helping us decide what we wanted and needed in a shed to helping us set up financing. He even contacted my HOA on our behalf to get all the approvals needed to get the shed built. Tuff Shed even worked with us on delaying the shed installation date, because we couldn't get the gravel delivered for the foundation for two additional months. The installation day was super windy, but the two guys who installed the shed did a remarkable job and they got the job done in one day! My husband and I very impressed with the quality and workmanship of our shed. We shopped around and nothing comes close to the quality of Tuff Shed. What sold us on this brand was the galvanized steel base versus wood bases that other brands do. Tuff Shed makes sure that their product will last many years.
